Adams still ‘hurt’ Jets listened to trade offers for him

We value these guys a lot. So regardless of how I understand that, you have a job to do.

The New York Jets have traded defensive lineman Leonard Williams to the New York Giants for a third-round draft pick next year and a fifth-rounder in 2021.

"I can promise you", Douglas said, "we are doing everything in our power so that we won't have a start like this again".

Rich Cimini also tweeted out that "Jamal Adams is a hot name right now and it wouldn't shock him if he gets dealt" ahead of the National Football League trade deadline. "I was always taught where I'm from, if a team calls, you listen to what they have to say".

The 1-6 Jets on Tuesday also failed to trade away wide receiver Robby Anderson and running back Le'Veon Bell.

Douglas acknowledged he "absolutely" views Adams, a Pro Bowl pick a year ago in his second season, as part of the team's long-term vision.

Adams has 39 combined tackles, five passes defended, and an interception in seven games this season.

Kylian also thanked the medical team of the French club that helped him recover from his injury. I also wanted to show that it's hard to get by without me", Mbappe told broadcaster RMC Sport.

The deal reportedly was a source of disagreement between former general manager Mike Maccagnan, who negotiated it, and new coach Adam Gase, who reportedly was against it. Maccagnan was sacked later in the offseason and eventually replaced by Douglas. Douglas called it a "simple miscommunication" with Adams. And, Adams didn't back down from that Wednesday, saying he heard the team was shopping him from people he trusts, including his agent.

ESPN's Rich Cimini, per Chris Mortenson, tweeted that the Packers were reportedly offering a 4th for Anderson but NY wanted a second. "I'm happy to be here despite all the trade rumors and talks".

The Jets would be open to trade, which makes sense given their difficulties this year. "But everybody just has to have a little bit of patience".

Jets quarterback Sam Darnold said it's "very important" to get Bell more involved in the offense, but the team has to do it "naturally". "That's just where I'm at with it". Douglas acknowledged that he spoke to the Cowboys, but he insisted he didn't initiate the conversation and never "shopped" Adams, whom he praised effusively. I felt like I couldn't help my team out.

Douglas also showed support for Gase, despite many frustrated fans already calling for the coach to be fired.

In the morning team meeting, Gase instructed the players to block out the outside noise and focus on the Miami Dolphins, this week's opponent. "Like I said, the meeting went well, we were on the same page, and I guess they thought something different when the time came".
