Arsenal’s Emery could recall Xhaka for Saints clash

Last month, Xhaka found himself in the centre of a storm after swearing at Arsenal fans in retaliation to a chorus of boos upon being subbed in his team's 2-2 draw with Crystal Palace at the Emirates.

'He's coming back better.

Xhaka has been on global duty with Switzerland over the past two weeks and Emery said the player "is coming back better in his mind" and "wants to come back with confidence (of) the supporters".

The former Borussia Monchengladbach midfielder appeared for his country twice in the last week and after holding talks with Emery upon his return to Arsenal's training base he is now in contention to feature against Premier League strugglers Southampton on Saturday. He trained very well before the worldwide break and he trained very well this morning.

Emery added: "I spoke to him this morning and we had a very good conversation".

He wants to come back with confidence with the supporters, and we are going to decide.

'I don't know precisely why and the arrangement it's going to alternate their performance.

Planet Mercury passes across the face of the Sun
A transit can only take place when the Earth, Mercury and the Sun are exactly in line in three dimensions. Mercury's transit of the Sun is the ideal opportunity for astronomers to catch a glimpse of the planet.

Pitching Xhaka into a match at the Emirates Stadium would seem a sizeable risk in the current climate, with Arsenal struggling for form and badly in need of three points from the league's 19th-placed side. That is my objective, and what I am working towards.

"He's feeling better and his team is Arsenal now".

Xhaka has been forced to miss out on the squad for the last five games with Emery suggesting he has not been in the right frame of mind to play.

"We need to see a good trigger after losing the ball, good momentum when we go to fight to win it back again immediately".

'They determined to alternate and I don't know the cause but now we personal our technique and so that they personal their technique.

"We are going to decide tomorrow but I want to do that comeback, give him confidence and make him comfortable".
