Eden Hazard opines who should win Ballon D’Or 2019 next week

Speaking in an interview with Le Parisien, Real Madrid winger Eden Hazard was asked about the 2019 Ballon D'Or.

They were subsequently named in the thirty-man list for the award dominated by Liverpool player including Trent Alexander-Arnold, Alisson Becker, Roberto Firmnino, and Georginio Wijnaldum.

"I'm going to give (Golden Ball) to the Liverpool players".

Van Dijk has also impressed this term as Liverpool - agonisingly pipped to the 2018-19 Premier League title by Manchester City - have surged eight points clear at the summit.

'If you give the Ballon d'Or to the best player of this generation then you should give it always to Lionel Messi.

Messi, 32, has enjoyed another tremendous year for the Catalan club as he won his 10th La Liga title with Barcelona last season and was once again a central cog in his side's success, scoring 36 goals and adding a further 13 assists on 36 appearances.

California school shooting suspect dies of his injuries, authorities say
The shooter did not chase anyone and appeared to randomly target the people around him, Villanueva said. Most shooters she studied were academically successful and weren't social outcasts.

Messi last won the award in 2015 and would surpass Cristiano Ronaldo should he claim a sixth Ballon d'Or.

Thus, Hazard has opted for his former Premier League rivals ahead of Lionel Messi, who is also tipped to win the award, especially after winning the FIFA Player of the year award and considering his performances in recent matches. It would be handsome if he won it.

Liverpool defender Virgil van Dijk now stands as a marginal favourite, with Messi breathing down his neck after a solid season with Barcelona.

The 20-year-old is widely touted as one of the players who is a potential future victor of the Ballon d'Or. The world cup victor told German publication Der Spiegel that Messi was the best player this year, 'Messi. It would be good for African football and English football, "said Hazard".

Unsurprisingly, Liverpool boss Jurgen Klopp said that the 28-year-old deserves to win the upcoming Ballon d'Or ahead of any player.
