Rapper Nipsey Hussle wins 2 posthumous Grammys, honored in tribute performance

There wasn't a dry eye in the home following an uplifting and shifting Grammys tribute to murdered rapper and activist Nipsey Hussle. Watch the moving performance below.

"Long live Nipsey Hussle", Khaled said when he took the stage, encouraging the audience in the Staples Center to rise to their feet.

Meek and Roddy Ricch kicked off the performance with what is believed to be a brand novel tribute tune to the slain rapper. "Lengthy dwell Nip. Lengthy dwell Kobe", Khaled shouted on the finish of the efficiency, as each males's faces had been proven on a large display screen behind him.

Just before the next award, Best Rap Song, was announced, Blacc Sam also took the mic to offer his take on Nipsey missing out on Best Rap Album a year prior.

Hussle was killed outside his South Los Angeles clothing store in March 2019.

DJ Khaled and Legend both dedicated the award to Hussle. Kirk Franklin then jumped in on the energetic performance that ended with images of Hussle and National Basketball Association star Kobe Bryant, who died earlier Sunday in a helicopter crash. The award is the first Grammy for the artist. "I wanted to thank all of you for showing all the love that I have felt for him all of his life that will always live in my heart", she said.
