"Having made his senior worldwide debut in October, 2018, the 22-year-old has collected nine global caps for the Netherlands to date".

"Just look around the training ground, it's fantastic".

He missed Sunday's 1-1 draw at home to Twente following reports he was refusing to play, but he denied those claims soon after, insisting caretaker boss Ernest Faber had given him permission.

Spurs had already caught Bergwijn's eye last season when they got the better of PSV's rivals Ajax in the Champions League semi-finals. "I hope I can show people quickly that I can be important".

Bergwijn, 22, signed a contract until 2025, and leaves PSV after being a part of three Eredivisie title-winning squads having scored 31 goals in 149 appearances.

Bergwijn is now Tottenham's third signing of the season after bringing Gedson Fernandez on loan from Benfica and making Giovani Lo Celso sign a permanent deal.

"It's an incredible move for me, an wonderful club". To play here, it's a dream for me.
