Tottenham have agreed a deal with PSV Eindhoven for Netherlands worldwide Steven Bergwijn.

Bergwijn will be Jose Mourinho's new option in the attacking position after the Spurs were dismayed over their English forward Harry Kane's serious injury.

"A player in the Premier League who has absolute pace, and we go back as far as Marc Overmars at Arsenal. when you have pace, class, the Dutch skill and technique, I think those players will do well".

"Having made his senior worldwide debut in October, 2018, the 22-year-old has collected nine global caps for the Netherlands to date".

"Just look around the training ground, it's fantastic".

Bergwijn, 22, signed a contract until 2025, and leaves PSV after being a part of three Eredivisie title-winning squads having scored 31 goals in 149 appearances.

Bergwijn is now Tottenham's third signing of the season after bringing Gedson Fernandez on loan from Benfica and making Giovani Lo Celso sign a permanent deal.
