Now, around 1,700 passengers, three stoppages for 'Shramik Special' trains


The 15 pairs of trains will run from Delhi connecting Dibrugarh, Agartala, Howrah, Patna, Bilaspur, Ranchi, Bhubaneshwar, Secunderabad, Bengaluru, Chennai, Thiruvananthapuram, Madgaon, Mumbai Central, Ahmedabad, and Jammu Tawi.

Update at 4:12 pm: The IRCTC website,, has crashed, likely from the sudden surge in traffic. Only asymptomatic passengers will be allowed to board the trains. The online booking of tickets will start from May 11 and the ticket booking counters at the railway stations shall remain closed.

Tickets can be booked online only through IRCTC website or through its mobile app. Booking of tickets through agents is not allowed.

Train scheduled, protocols for booking, entry and movement of passengers, and coach services specification shall be widely publicized by MoR.

Only those passengers with confirmed e-tickets shall be allowed to enter the station.

Passengers shall observe social distancing both at the station and on trains.

The Indian Railways has operated a total of 468 "Shramik Special" trains since May 1 to ferry more than five lakh migrant workers as of Monday.
