38 confirmed, 9 probable COVID-19 cases in Hancock County

"As people begin staying home less and attend gatherings, it is important to understand that the virus has not been eliminated, and there is no vaccine available to prevent people from getting this infection", health officials said in a statement.

The Ministry of Health announced this afternoon there have been no new cases of Covid-19 reported in the last 24 hour reporting period.

Local public health officials began announcing new confirmed cases of the coronavirus in southern OR and northern California as of Friday, May 22.

He added: "Going into the long weekend, the Dubois County Health Department and I want to emphasize the importance of continuing to follow our state and local guidelines to prevent COVID-19 spread".

The number of people recovered remains at 1455, or 97 percent of all confirmed and probable cases.

There have been a total of 1,308 negative test results, and 64 tests remain pending.
