Dance fascinated her; she started learning it under the guidance of yesteryear's famous choreographer, B. Sohanlal.

Rest in Peace Saroj Khan ji. Her constant smile while dancing makes the song livelier. The three-time National-Award winning choreographer's last rites would take place at Malvani in Malad later in the day. Her iconic dance moves inspired me at a very young age. Blockbuster songs like "Ek Do Teen" in Tezaab, Tamma Tamma Loge in Thanedaar and Dhak Dhak Karne Laga in Beta are a few milestones in her career which helped her emerge as the numero uno choreographer in Bollywood. "Her adaa. I would tell the actors male and female, do 50 per cent of how she does a shot and you'll be a star".

Madhuri Dixit dances to the maestro's tune which is beyond ideal. "I will miss you", continued the Bollywood star, adding a broken heart emoji. Her songs are a rage among the dance enthusiasts. So she was a very humble person though she will always be a legend.

Actor Taapsee Pannu said she will forever cherish the memories of working with the veteran choreographer. Thank u for for always encouraging, for teaching me personally on set, for making me feel special, for the words u used for me! She had won National Film Awards for Best Choreography three times for "Dola Re Dola" from film Devdas (2003), "Yeh Ishq Haaye" from film Jab We Met (2008), and for Tamil period drama film Sringaram. She not only highlighted the emotions of the song but also contributed to the characterisation of the protagonists. The first picture is a performance she gave for us, inspite of very bad health- I remember the entire studio went COMPLETELY STILL.
